Finishings

All of our products are beautifully finished by hand before being coated with high build Microporous paints or stains. These coatings are factory spray applied to any RAL colour of your choice and they will give your product up to 4 years protection between coatings.

Draught Proofing

Since conservatories were first elevated to popularity the manufacturing of glass has moved at a dramatic pace to keep up with the requirements of the customer whether that be solar control or to control heat loss Everitt and Jones can provide you with the latest available types of glass to suit your needs and budget.

Materials

We work wholly in wood and take the finest hardwoods and engineered Scandanavian Redwoods and craft conservatories to order. Each conservatory or orangery is designed, built and installed by our own dedicated fully trained, time served craftsmen in our Woburn workshop and the same is true of our Windows, doors and Multi-fold doors.

All our timber is specially selected by us from sustainable forests as we have a strong regard for the beautiful environment around us.

Windows are glazed in toughened or laminated glass to the relevant British standard and insulate against heat loss and noise penetration.

Performance

When tested in accordance with BS5368 parts 1, 2 and 3 and classified to BS 6375 our products obtained the following results:

Air Permeability 600pa Class C
Water Tightness 300pa
Wind Resistance 2400pa
NEW THERMAL INSULATION tested for Hardwood Doors
(U-value of 1.8)

Timbers

We use various different woods for our products depending upon your requirements. We recommend some of the finest West African Sapele hardwood which is noted for its strength, durability and grain texture. Other popular choices are that of Oak and European Redwoods.

European Redwoods conformed to BS EN 942 and BS 1186 part 2 and are double vacuum treated to protect against insects and decay which will achieve a 30 year preservative warranty.

Importantly all of our wood comes from managed resources and is Carbon Neutral helping the environment around us.

Environment

Everitt and are Jones are mindful that the Environment is a very important issue in today’s society and we are proud of the fact that we work with materials which come from sustainable sources. Our timber shavings and off cuts are recycled in our wood burning stove to provide heat for the factory.

Any waste paint that is used in our spray plant is filtered and re-used and all of our paints are water borne products and no solvents are used. Where possible we also recycle any packaging that we acquire.
