Why replace a flat roof?
Common flat roof problems:
- Suffer from leaks, usually as a result of either poor workmanship installing the roof or poor maintenance by the home owner
- Poor insulation
- Poor lighting
- Poor roof appearance
How do we do it?
First, we will remove your old poorly insulated flat roof.
We will then construct an engineered roof with selected timbers, fully pre-fabricated by our team of experienced tradesmen in our workshop near Woburn Abbey (see below).
150mm extruded polystyrene is used to insulate the roof, constructed according to building regulations, achieving the best possible U-value.
All lanterns are glazed using the most up to date and advanced double glazing, with options for self-cleaning, solar control and tint.
Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP / Fibreglass) is used to cover the entire flat roof, creating a tough, hard wearing, fully-bonded seamless covering. which is 100% water proof. The GRP covering is fully guaranteed for 25 years.
Aluminium powdered coated glazing bars are used on the exterior in either a white or grey finish.
Final result is a fabulous light and bright room!
All plastering will be carried out and our electricians will install any lighting required.
