The house stands in Winslow, Buckinghamshire and is a grade 2 listed property with thatched roof. It is one of the oldest houses in the road.
As the property is grade 2 listed, the planners would not let them replace the windows with double glazed wooden windows. Everitt & Jones made a custom sample for the project to demonstrate a potential solution. We created a 14 mm double glazed unit with a black spacer bar so it was not obvious that the windows were double glazed. When the planner saw the sample she remarked that it was the best non obvious double glazed window to date and gave permission to replace the windows.
