The glass spec is 6.4 laminated 18mm black warm edge spacer 4mm low E toughened plus argon gas.
The reason for using laminated glass was, one for security but the main reason the client wanted a UV filter (which laminated glass has) in the glass because he had several paintings in the stairwell and didn’t want the sun to fade them.
The roof is caped with aluminium powder coated grey bars.
